Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Day 1: Arrival
Meeting and assistance at any of the gateways to Israel. Transfer to Tel Aviv.
Overnight: Tel Aviv

Day 2: Tel Aviv / Rishon L'Zion / Rehovot
Drive through the busy streets of Tel Aviv' Israel's commercial capital.
See the Mann Auditorium, Habimah National Theater, Rabin Square, Dizengoff street and the promenade
along the Mediterranean. Continue to the Museum of
the Diaspora for a Jewish Treasure Hunt - Search for your Heritage in the form of a treasure hunt. Examine Jewish lifestyles, customs and culture through the dioramas, pictures and exhibits, all fun and excitement for the whole family.
As part of the program the child will have the opportunity to discover first hand his/her personal place in the Jewish Mosaic. Evening- Candle lighting ceremony

Day 3: Shabbat
Spend the day at leisure. Evening tour of Jaffa to visit the Artist's colony and the flea market.
Overnight: Tel Aviv

Day 4: Caesarea, Haifa, Akko
Head north along the Mediterranean Highway to Caesarea to see the Roman Theater, now a major concert venue.
Continue to Haifa and view the Bahai Shrine and the exquisite Persian Gardens. Ascend to the Carmel Mountains to visit the Druze villages and their colorful bazaar. Continue to the 'Muhraka' (The Horns of Carmel), where, according to tradition Elijah slaughtered the false prophets.
Proceed to Beit Shearim to visit the ancient Jewish City and its catacombs. On to Akko to visit the Knights' Halls, the crusaders' underground city.
Overnight: Western Galilee

Day 5: Nazareth, Safed, Tiberias
Start the day in Tzippori near Nazareth, at the time the Jewish Capital of the Galilee, and according to recent findings, one of the largest school of Mosaics in ancient times. Enjoy the exquisite Mosaics, including the infamous "Mona Lisa of the Galilee". Continue along to Kfar Kedem to take part in Biblical Culinary Experience. Kneed and bake your Pita bread dip it with local olive oil, and enjoy it with traditional herbal coffee or tea. Drive to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation. On to the City of the Kabbalah - Safed. Stroll the old streets and visit the galleries of some of the most notable Israeli artists. Tour the old synagogues where Jewish mysticism is still part of daily life. Continue to Metula to see the Good Fence between Israel and Lebanon.

Day 7: Jordan Valley, Jerusalem
Drive to Beit Shean and explore the excavations of this beautiful Roman - Byzantine City (Scythopolis). Drive via the Jordan Valley Rift through Jericho the world's oldest city. As the sun sets, enter Jerusalem. Upon arrival at the city, stop on Mount Olives for a special 'Shehechiyanu' ceremony.
Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 8: New City of Jerusalem
Visit the 2nd Temple Model of Jerusalem. Continue to Yad Vashem, The Memorial to the Holocaust. Proceed to Israel Museum to visit the Shrine of the Book to view the Dead Sea Scrolls. Drive to see the Knesset and the Supreme Court on Government Hill. Finish the day with a Tree Planting Ceremony.
Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 9: Old City of Jerusalem
Tour the Old City of Jerusalem. Enter through Zion Gate, walk through the Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall. Visit the Wall Tunnel and the new excavations of the Southern Wall. Continue to Temple Mount to view the Muslem Shrines of the Dome of the Rock an El Aqza. On to the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. End the tour at the Citadel to see the Museum of the History of Jerusalem. You can choose
to stay at the Western Wall for the Friday night prayers or return to your hotel for a Candle lighting ceremony.

Day 10: Shabbat
Spend the day at leisure.

Day 11: Neot Kedumim, Beit Guvrin
Start the day with a drive to Neot Kedumim, the Biblical Nature Reserve. Enjoy the morning with your family going through this Biblical Park playing Mezuzah Hunt - A child centered tour where the Bnei/Bnot Mitzvah will lead their families through this beautiful Biblical landscape reserve. Following simple clues the children discover a cistern, explore a wine press, a threshing floor and an olive press, all clues to finding the Mezuzah by sharing relevant information, Biblical references. At the end of the Treasure Hunt, everyone joins in drinking Le'Chaim to the child of honor and each Bar/t Mitzvah receives a special certificate. Continue to Latrun where you will visit the Armored Corps Museum. Afterwards, visit the Latrun Trappist Monastery and Winery. Move underground to the amazing Avshalom Cave and view the stalactite and stalagmite formations. A short drive will take you to the amazing bronze Scroll of Fire Memorial. Drive through the Elah Valley where David "Slew" Goliath. On to Beit Guvrin to walk through the network of Bell Caves

Day 12: Dead Sea
A Jeep ride through the Judean Desert will take you through this Moon-like terrain. We will visit Qumran caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, we will float on the Dead Sea and refresh in David Springs at the Ein Gedi Oasis. In the evening we will enjoy a Bedouin feast, in a Bedouin tent.

Day 13 - Bar/t Mitzvah on Massada
This is a very special day.We will ascent the mountain fort of Massada by Cable car.
The ceremony will be in the Synagogue on top of the site of Massada.
After the ceremony we will tour the excavations where the Jewish Zealots struggled against the Roman Legions.
Back to Jerusalem for a Bar Mitzvah Dinner.

Day 14: Departure
Departure transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
